Interior

The Clarity seats five across two rows of seating. It provides 42.2 inches of legroom up front, and the car offers 36.2 inches of rear legroom. The front seats have soft padding, and the back seat is comfortable. It’s easy to get in and out of the Clarity thanks to an accessible ride height, grab handles in each doorway, and a roofline that stays out of the way. But the roomy cabin provides comfortable space and the low-set expansive windows offer excellent outward visibility.

With 15.5 cubic feet of space, the plug-in-hybrid Clarity has a typically sized trunk among sedans in the hybrid and electric car class but less cargo space than hatchbacks. The rear seats can fold to create a bit more space. And there’s plenty of small-item storage throughout the cabin. The seats do not fold in the Fuel Cell Clarity, which has an 11.8-cubic-foot trunk.
